Hiring Process

With our technical recruiting strategies and unique hiring model, Collective attracts the top talent in the IT infrastructure industry. We have developed comprehensive "tech-out" programs, Immersion Hiring Events, and an environment designed by and for technical members and managers, which is how we attract - and keep - the "best of the best." Here is a brief explanation of our hiring process.

  1. Collective technically prescreens all resumes. A recruiter forwards approved resumes to your potential coworkers, peers or managers - as they truly know what we are looking for.
  2. A recruiter will contact you and introduce you to Collective.
  3. Technical phone interviews or "tech-outs" begin. There are generally two to three phone tech-outs, and Collective technical team members perform these as they best know the requirements our candidates must meet. This is also the opportunity for you to ask questions and gain answers from our members who will likely be your peers at Collective.
  4. If the results of the tech-out(s) are favorable, you will be invited to the next level of our hiring process, which can be either a request to fly to our corporate offices in Austin, TX, a request to meet with local Management in or close to the city you reside in, or perhaps a Video Conference interview with one of our Senior Managers.
  5. At the conclusion of your interviewing experience with Collective, your results are reviewed by your peers and hiring manager and hiring decisions are made. Offers usually are extended within a day or two of your final interview.
